Work Hard, Party Hard: Harm Reduction in a Postsecondary Setting

In the context of increasing focus on harms, psychological safety, and mental health in post-secondary settings, this qualitative study explores challenges opportunities for harm reduction through groups with student leaders, service providers, administrators one large Canadian university. Key themes explored by participants include a pervasive work hard, party culture, clashes regarding how to define operationalize reduction, broad approaches tension risk becoming band-aid solution, knowledge transfer privilege an academic context. These findings suggest possible avenues that could be implemented as part new standard, well society whole.
